[WIPz] Massive Breakdown: Mass Smelting and Tanning.

Post » Fri Sep 14, 2012 2:37 am

Are you the kind of person that likes to hoard things and process them en-mass later? Do you grumble every time you approach a smelter or tanning rack? Do you get sore fingers from rapid clicking E then "yes" hundreds of times? Do you wish Bethesda would have left the common courtesy of a quantity prompt for smelting items?

Well, unfortunately this mod does not grant one, but it does the next best thing. Introducing: Massive Breakdown, a mod that let's you smelt (and maybe craft if I ever get around to that) items in batches of 10 and 100, reducing the amount of excess clicking needed to break down items in the smelter.
  • Vanilla and Skyrim Redone Versions.
  • Melt down ore, tan skins, or (in skyRE) breakdown armors and jewels in batches of 10 and 100.
  • Conditioned recipes for reduced list clutter: Mass quantity items will only show up if you have the required items for it (Example: 10x or 100x vanilla Moonstone ingot recipies will only show up if you have >20 and/or >200 moonstone respectively.)

At the moment I have only smelting and tanning rack recipies planned. I however would like input on the other types:

- Cooking Spit: Could, but personally I find that sort of pointless, since even being the horder I am I hardly ever have enough to make 10 let alone 100 of anything. Also, survival mods aside, foods have no use in skyrim at all.

- Forge/Skyforge: Could work, but it would mean a LOT of extra time making recipes for them (and trust me, the skyre version has plenty of that as it is.) Plus i'm not sure if that would mess up Smithing skill gain or not.

- Workbench/grindstone/Alchemy and Enchanting Tables/: Impossible to quantify.

Should I add mass Forge and/or cooking spit recipies? or just stick with Tanning Rack/Smelter recipies at first?
