eg,
# i think we have to do the first point of whiterun and get to the point where the greybeards summon us to make dragons start appearing. are there any other milestones i should be aware of?
# Is it a reasonable thing to get out of helgen with one of the guys, then just totally blank riverwood and choose a village/town to be 'from' and just start there? (i dont think dragons will appear that way, but i can always return to riverwood later to unlock them).
# there are some trees i dont like normally (eg speech, pickpocketing, lockpicking) but is it viable to make a 'conman' who instead of doing risky stuff just travels from town to town, causes mischief, earns a stack of cash and can run away from any trouble hes caused? or will i end up just being slaughtered for not picking enough combat perks when i get unavoidable trouble? hopefully i could just run away from hired thugs.
# if thinking of doing the 'dynasty' thing (next character is the son/daughter of the previous) are there any races which are good at all things? seems kinda sensible to pick a Nord Dynasty as its in Skyrim, but perhaps another race is more fun?
# what kind of playstyles or perks will make for an interesting game, and what kind of paths do you suggest? here are some of my ideas so far id like you to expand:
- going straight to stormcloaks/imperials and joining in the civil war immediately
- going straight to the mage college to study and 'becoming a fully graduated mage' before going out into the holds to serve the Jarls.
- growing up on the streets of riften, chancing in on some people willing to help you out in exchange for less than moral favours. take over, and then expand into Skyrim.
- Grow up on the streets of Whiterun, chance in on the companions who you can work for in exhange for shelter. see where the radiant quests take you.
- Grow up in a small village (Rorikstead, Ivarstead' whatever, new one each time) complete all quests there, talk to all NPCs, move village when youve done it all (heir takes over growing up where you were living when you last died). How would shelter work for this?
- or even just actually do the full story line without doign any side quests, and fullfilling your destiny as dragonborn? see how many desendants it takes you to do this?
any ideas on fun specs, or fun paths? a 'one character does all' thing isnt really suiting me at all, i get bored and want to move on eventually.
the only long game specs ive had so far, are a stealth/archer, who was only any good if he was doing the jumping, if he was being jumped, i had to turn down the difficulty setting, and a 1h shield guy who shield bashes for the stun, takes a couple swing with his axe that causes bleeding, then bashes for the stun again etc. Im still on the 1h/shield guy atm, but hes already died, so if im doign DiD, i need a new toon.
