Lean

Here is an interesting article detailing how Dishonored will allow players to lean on the console.

Good, I'm glad that the console version will be top notch as well. Well done Arkane, well done!

After reading this I can't help but to wonder how leaning will work on the PC.

On the 360 it's "hold the Y button, and then lean using the thumbstick", and the PC equivalent would be something like "hold down the E button, and then lean using A & D". Which is not something I like. I hope it will be possible to lean using the good ol' Q & E buttons like in Thief, Deus Ex and so on.

Seems like a no-brainer to me, using the same method to lean as on the console would be weird to adjust to anyway.

I've been disappointed far too many times from a poor PC version of multiplatform games, so it's hardly a no-brainer

There are so many PC games out there that have poor controls or UI because they are built from the console controles and UI rather from scratch with the PC in mind. Binary Domain is a somewhat recent example of this (quite excellent game otherwise though). Even Skyrim would be an example of this because of the poor control pad centric UI.

You'd think some things are no-brainers but they actually get overlooked. Developers, I am gonna level with you for a sec here. PCs have a lot of buttons right? Why not use those buttons for comfort's sake and not make lazy ports anymore? Hm, sound good? http://www.sadtrombone.com/

Thankfully Arkane had different teams work on the different platforms at the same time and they've taken most things into account when it comes to the PC version. And if there are issues they will get a quick patch out just like they did with Dark Messiah for those having issues.
