I started up Skyrim yesterday after a month without playing and Steam had apparently updated it to the newest patch, which I'm guessing is either 1.6 or 1.7?.. [no idea!] So, after that, I brought up Skyrim, got to the main screen with no problems, loaded my file, and tried messing around with the object on the loading screen but it never budged, which I thought was very strange, though I shrugged it off. When the file was completely loaded, I tried moving around but I was unsuccessful! I tried all of the other keys on the keyboard and NONE of them work, except for the Windows button if I want to quit Skyrim other than using the alt-ctrl-delete way. I wondered if it was because of one of my mods so I decided to uninstall all of my mods, including my Steam Workshop mods too, but I still could not move around. The [wireless] mouse works perfectly fine and I can look around with it, but I can't move around the objects on the loading screens, but I can pull out my bow and shoot it, though for the life of me cannot sheathe it. [For now I'm stuck in sneak mode with my bow out, watching the nearby river and gazing up at the beautiful night sky which is pleasing to look at, thanks to the aurora borealis and surrounding snowy mountains.] I have also tried killing myself [..lol...] with my own arrows but I can't, sadly. I believe I have also tried going from first-person to third-person view with the mouse wheel but it doesn't work. [I'll have to recheck the next time I decide to try and 'fix' things again. x_x]
After researching for a long day or so, I came across no solutions. I've already tried deleting both of the SkyrimPrefs.ini in both C:\Users\...\Documents\My Games\Skyrim AND C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\Skyrim. I've also tried changing bGamepadEnable=1 to bGamepadEnable=0 in both of the .ini's to no avail.
By now I have reinstalled Skyrim and Steam at least 5 or 6 times, making sure to rid myself of all of the old files that I could possibly find! I use both ways to download it--the disk and by Steam itself. I would love whoever could help me solve my problem, because I'd like to get back to playing Skyrim on my PC as soon as possible. [To pass the time I've been playing either Oblivion or Skyrim on my Xbox 360 which I thankfully already had before this problem came up.] PLEASE ask me if you need anymore information on this problem. I've given everything out that I know of to help you all help me.
EDIT: I would also like to mention that I do NOT use an 'external' keyboard or a gamepad/controller to play any of my games. The keyboard I use will always be 'internal' as some would like to call it.
