So, I finally got around to installing Skyrim on my new computer(and steam, obviously). Everything went fine, and the game looks absolutely gorgeous on my new computer(I've gone from lowest graphical settings on my old computer, to Ultra High settings on this computer). So, I got a bit curious last night, and looked up the High Res texture pack for Skyrim on Steam, wondering how big it was. When I finally managed to find it, I apparently accidentally started it to download, where I quickly realized it was 3 gigs(which is 60% of my monthly data cap). So I put it on pause. The issue is, i don't know how to cancel it out, and steam won't let me play Skyrim at all now, saying it isn't ready to be played in Off-line mode. HELP ME SOMEONE! Please! I just want to cancel the stupid download and get back to playing regular old Skyrim.

Contact Steam Support and ask them to remove it from your account.

If that is really the only damn way to stop and remove that stupid download, that is just further reason/proof of why Steam is so freaking [censored] and useless ><

It's there as a safeguard to prevent accidental removal and help keep trashing of accounts to a minimum. It makes perfect sense if you think about it.

Ehh, not to me it doesn't. I'm an avid Steam hater, only put it up with because of Skyrim. Would much rather have the ability to remove things at will, rather then wait for them to take care of it. Probably be 24 hours or more until I can play skyrim again ><
