Is playing a vampire annoying?

I don't know much about it, always wanted to try it, but it seems like the drawbacks would be a pain. With a werewolf, there isn't much of a downside, but the downside seems to be pretty big with a vamp. What do you think?

I started a new character after becoming a vampire. While it is fun, the downsides do get to you eventually.

I never liked vamps and I don't think that will ever change... :gun:

Before Dawnguard killed the AoS at stage 4. Playing a Vampire was the single most fun I had with any character so far.

That Werewolf stuff wears out rather fast. I do not knock people that RP that kind of mechanic into the game. We should all have fun doing whatever it is, otherwise, there is no reason to do it. Some things fancy one person and appall another. Having a game that lets one choose the character type and playstyle is great. ( I just wish the dialog and quests gave just as much choice.)

However...playing a Stage 4 Vampire 24/7 where EVERYONE is hostile, forces the player to use the Illusion school and the buffs it comes with. It employs strategy to every quest. Sadly, all that is no more, without mods.

With Dawnguard, playing a vampire is pretty easy, especially a stage 4 vampire. I think that sunlight damage should damage you like it did in Oblivion, that's the main thing that irks me. Vampires can't go out in the sun, so why can I? Ugh it does bother me, but playing as a vampire is some of the most fun as I've had in skyrim. I've played both werewolf and vampire and I found the vampire lord form especially fun and I use it more often than I used the werewolf form.
