Because tube tv's are just horrible when it comes to displaying text, that's why subtitles are always so big. I play the game on a 40" TV (will be bigger soon) with a wireless Xbox gamepad on PC so I get the best gaming experience. This game is meant to played with a controller on your couch in front of a big TV.

Your flat screen shows more pixels than your tube tv, PS3 and Xbox360 is designed to show HD images, it not the image has to be scaled down, probably some other converting who hurt quality to.

That's the difference between a tube TV and HDTV. Tube TV is somethingx460 (i think?) HDTV is 1920x1080 pixels, so that's damn lot bigger resolution.

I remember playing PS3 games right after i getting my HDTV; "wait, that was text all along?" :lmao:

Skyrim is made for a High Definition, wide-screen television, and so are the subtitles. A tube tv has a much lower level of detail, meaning small letters like Skyrim's subtitles will get very smudgy.
