Easy answer, so the game will run on your console. no such problems on a decent PC, fortunately.

Fallout 3 and fallout new vegas had no such faces and ran fine.

Also pc has same issue unless you have hd dlc pack.

FO is paltry in world detail compared to Skyrim, truly. PC on high (no HD tex pack) is leagues beyond consoles already. Ultra, even nicer. Anyway, there has to be a trade off for all of the detail. I don't recall if there's an AA on/off option on consoles. If there is, you might try that. Otherwise, you'll have to live with it, there's no "fix".

I dont know what you mean by "blocky". The faces on Skyrim look better than anything on fallout.

because they're all on preset and stuck within a certain parameters just like FO3/NV namely the chin/cheeks area. but its better than Oblivions pudgy pudding and Morrowinds Triangles ;p of course thats to be expected.

As ugly as people were in previous games, I can't really complain much about the citizens of Skyrim. My Nord warrior also looks sixy with his beard (a neglected feature in many rpgs), so I'm content.
