Absolutely. Roleplay is what keeps me playing Skyrim, even after a thousand or so hours.
My current character is Sara Beauchamp - College mage and descendant of my Oblivion character. She's an odd character, really. In some regards she prefers to keep to herself, constantly moving in the shadows and steering clear from the Thalmor as much as possible. As a former member of the Blades, the Thalmor aren't particularly fond of her. But at the same time, she has a thirst for achievement and recognition.
I can't really imagine playing Elder Scrolls games without roleplaying. Powergaming seems so much ... less, I suppose. It lacks the thought behind the character, it lacks the detail, the story and the personality. That's not to say power gaming is bad, it's just not for me.
