Post » Fri Sep 21, 2012 7:14 pm

Thinking about it.. but I've just started college, do I wan't to have "intense" gameplay or do i wan't to relax on fifa.. (next joke)

What do you guys think? I like rp;ing my characters this idea seems fun. Not sure though, I get attached to my chars, any advice?

Definitely start one. Adds tons of fun/suspense to the game. Just remember to be careful, use strategy when attacking, and save often (in case your game freezes). Just keep the game on the default (Adept?) difficulty and you should be fine.

...Had to think about this...
To me, DiD means "Damsel in Distress"...
To others, it means "Dead if Dead"...

I'd like to do it on Master though, would this be stupid?

What are the rules in regards to bountys and prison? If you go to prison is that is for your char? That would be cool

You should defiantly try one.
Skyrim had got boring for me, then I tried Roleplaying and then DiD, it's amazing.

Sure you could do it, but I wouldn't recommened it for your first DiD character.

If you don't want to do a DiD, you can try a Mario.

Remember the old Super Mario games? You had three lives. If they were gone, so was your game. It's still a bit more intense than trying to do the straight DiD if you have a lot of other stuff going on. It allows for some mistakes, some restarting, but it's still fairly intense to limit yourself to 3 deaths.

Whether to play DiD is not, in my opinion, a question others should answer for you. You simply weigh the benefits and risks.

Benefits: More intense, more immersive, more realistic. Like hardcoe Mode in New Vegas, some people won't play any other way.
Risks: Losing hours, maybe days of effort due to a miscalculation on your part. And they do happen.

The Mario is a neat concept. I get really attached to my characters sometimes, especially if they die so quickly that I spent more time in character creation than playing! One of my recents actually died the second they stepped out of their starting zone (with Live Another LIfe mod, started in the Thieves Guild. Died in the Ratway, immediately!) I am playing a DiD character (Junia in my sig) that I actually restarted from the beginning after she suffered an unfortunate mishap with a sabrecat at level 3. I didn't think sabrecats showed up that early, but then I do have the Real Wildlife mod... Anyway, I was really sad about her death so I restarted. She's taking a slightly different approach to play now. Hehe.

Dead is Dead is a really fun way of playing and I encourage you to try it.
