Skyrim automatically restores deleted saves..?

So, there is a save I want to delete, but every time I log back into the game, the save is restored again. Why? Can I prevent it from happening?

Turn off the Steam Cloud feature for Skyrim under the Properties window for Skyrim accessed via the Steam library.
