I just got peer pressured into buying Civ 4. Yay.

Success, everyone! This whole thread was a joke, Civ IV is one of the worst strategy games ever made. :evil:

Am the only one still playing Civ III? :blush:

I'm waiting for Civ V to go on sale before I pick it up for my semi-new gaming rig. Is it worth trying out Civ IV too?

If you're really into Civ III, it's possible IV won't be that enticing (an odd love-it-or-hate-it trend I've noticed.) I'd still try out Civ IV all the same, but then again I found Civ III a bit meh - a stepping stone to IV, but not a patch on Civ II - so your mileage may vary. Just don't judge Civ IV without the Beyond the Sword expansion, it's a must-have.

I've been a fairly active member over at Civilization Fanatics Center, and I highly recommend you check out the large pool of knowledge available there. http://www.civfanatics.com/civ4/strategy/ is a good place to start :smile:

I used to be active on there, not so much anymore.

Anyone still play Alpha Centauri?

Thanks. Funnily enough I've never played Civ II either. I went from Civ I to Civ III so it looks like I'll skip another iteration and go straight to Civ V. I'll probably pick up Civ IV if it's on sale someday though.
