No recognition at all

I know this topic had been discussed before, but After playing for a while, thinking how Skyrim dropped the ball in this subject, I had to make this post.

I had to accept that my character will never be recognized for his deeds like Oblivion or Morrowind did.

There was a system of reputation in the older games, how you do your quest, how you choose to finish your quest, and you will get the deed ( fame or infamy ) according to your choice, the world felt alive.

I remember a quest in Cheydinhal in Oblivion about a corrupt Guard, if you kill him, you will get infamy point, if you expose him you will get fame points. Choices !

Also in Fallout 3 and new vegas, there were attributes, for example strength, charisma and intelligence etc ....
when someone talk to you, he will react according to those attributes, and you were given more option in the dialogue, BUT
in SKYRIM !
You are the same person, a stupid ignorant slow unintelligent weak Nord, what ever you do, everyone thinks the same and react the same.

They scrapped the whole system, what ever you do, has no meaning at all, and this is the most annoying part in Skyrim for me.
All i hope for Bethesda to added it back in a future DLC or TES VI.

Sorry for my english, it's not my first language.

Pretty much.

You could be the next Shalidor, and Farengar will still recommend you to the CoW "if you've got the aptitude".

Oh Farengar, try refusing the fetching quest he asks you to do.

Not just the only thing beth screwed up on. For 6 they just need to pick up their design documents for oblivion/morrowind and add on features, DO NOT REMOVE THEM.

your english is fine, i didn't even realize it wasn't your first language until you mentioned it.

i agree completely btw, it's something i miss mostly from morrowind, even in oblivion i could tell they skimped on it.

what gets me is how intermittent it is. sometimes after finishing the main quest one guard will mention it, recognize me as dovahkiin or whatever, and the one standing next to him will tease me about fetching the mead, it's just handled really badly. i hope they change in with a dlc, but i think the best i can hope for is someone changing the conversation triggers with a mod.

Then again, in Oblivion, there were few NPCs who acted different, depending on your Fame/Infamy.
