Anyone ever do a 180 on their character's focus (warriormagi

Have an Altmer Warrior at level 63 and would like to change his specialty to magic. I'd like to get him to 100 in Destruction and Conjuration. How feasible is this? Do I have enough levels by the cap of 81 to do it? Would I lose my mind trying to grind his skills up? Leveling has slowed down quite a bit now - takes a lot more increase to advance a level and he's taking a good beating with only 43 in Destruction (and the whimpy spells he can cast at that level). He has 100 in Enchanting already so spells cost me nothing.

Basically, have any of you tried to switch your character over to a new line of work after they've already mastered one skill set?

Skill leveling isn't an issue, as it goes by use. Perks, on the other hand, will be limited now, since there's only 81 which can be assigned. Considering your high overall level, you've maybe 10 perks left (getting to level 81 is difficult and tedious). This is maybe 5 per tree, depending on how you divide them.

If you're not concerned with the perks in the magic trees, you can easily accomplish 100 in both levels. It just means quite a bit more game playing.

if your enchanting is allready maxed you could make a spell reduction suit and take a few of the extra damage perks, but at 63 i doubt you get enough perks to do two skills

Ah, heck. I'm up to impact already. I think I would need six more for the extra damage perks. Hmm... Maybe I should just do Destruction and leave it at that. Maybe make a Heavy Armor Sorcerer type character.
