setting the mood

Post » Wed Sep 26, 2012 11:15 am

How do u guys plan to set the mood the first time u play dishonored? Will u take off work? Will you go to the store for some gamer goodies (hot pockets, m&ms, popcorn, ramen noodles)? Will you watch certain movies based around action and stealth or older video games a few days leading up to the release of dishonored just to build your anticipation that much more? Please devulge

Good thread well I need to first decide what platform I am getting it on first and if you can download it at midnight for psn I might do that so it will be ready in the morning but besides that I probably will just keep anticipating it but I would watch some movies based sorta on the game if I knew any.

I personally won't have time to play it in the first week or two. I also won't be pre-ordering it because I am moving at the moment and have a lot of crap to take care of. I took a leave from work for a month while I sort everything out so I will be enjoying it in complete peace. Reading "The Count of Monte Cristo" again before the game comes around.

Since I hadn't played any stealth games before, I decided to buy all the Thief games and Deus Ex in the Steam sale and I have to say, I'm enjoying the stealth parts a lot. I don't want to play the game flat-out like I always do with BGS games, so I'll try and just take my time with it, explore the world and the levels. Often when playing Thief (more the second one), I would skip the objectives and just start exploring the level until I stumbled onto the goal. Pity DS lacks the sprawliness of the other games, still a good game anyway.

Btw, off-topic, do turtlenecks look gay (w/e that means)? Also Corvo has a really mean collar on his suit. If anyone makes an accurate cosplay out of that I will pay him a lot for that suit. Although, last I checked someone made an accurate suit for Alucard from Hellsing and it costed over 5 000 dollars. Yeah...

I was referring mostly to the long sleeved shirts with those collars. That just looks terrible.
