New to modding question

Post » Thu Sep 27, 2012 4:04 am

Hello,

New to the forum and the whole modding concept. I'm trying to create my own sort of world with the creation kit. How do I know how big I'm making things? Is there any tool in the kit for measurements for landmasses in miles (or any unit of measurement really)?

Thanks

Slow down a bit and make a small mod and release it before starting on a big project. Pick one small thing that you think would make the game better, put it in a mod, release it on nexus and steam workshop, and get feedback. After that experience you will be in a much better place to plan and execute a larger size mod.

Yeah you have started with a more advanced topic that doesn't even have any documentation, thats why i suggested something a bit simpler to start and get some experience. You will mostly be on your own to figure out this kind of stuff and if someone does explain it to you its not real likely you will understand what the hell they are talking about till you get some experience.

Anyway start reading the http://www.creationkit.com/Main_Page.
