Every PC player should play Skyrim with a 360 controller

I don't think I could play any video game with a mouse and keyboard. I think it just boils down to what you starting gaming with, PC or console.

Hm..didn't know you could adjust the stick sensitivity, although I figured it may have that option. But still, as I've already said, the biggest advantage you mention it has (steadness) is also it's biggest weakness (due to the lack of freedom of movement).

And well, in reality it isn't a matter of only having played for 5 minutes, you see...I instantly fell in love with K/M after the first time I tried it, back to the Quake 1 years  (after having played a lot with consoles). Since the first time, the mouse just felt so horribly natural that I think it's just the way of playing.

No idea how the movements steadiness might be a weak point, really. Thanks to that you can run around an enemy while singing Ring around the Rosie and beating the crap out of him while you actually don't move the sticks, doing that with a mouse would require a desk ten feet wide.. just a matter of taste I suppose :ermm: well I'm late for dinner, see you later.

I tried playing Oblivion with a controller and hated it. I'll probably get to see how Skyrim plays with a controller when my brother buys it for his 360 but I certainly won't be rushing out to buy a controller for it before then.

You forgot to mention the headache of scrolling in menus. No hotkeys. No console in case you get stuck or a quest bugs. Completely pointless to even try aiming at anything that moves. Oh and you can have smooth turning with a mouse if you want, there are ways to limit mouse movement you know. I also don't get this dumb notion that you can't be in a relaxed position on a PC. Buy a real chair for heavens sake.

I pity people that play TES games on a console, I really do. It's like buying a race car with a 100mph limiter, a complete waste.

I haven't used a controller in almost 20 years, I'm not about to start now.

No thanks, you can keep your controller, and I'll keep my keyboard and mouse.

The point is that there's nothing that keeps you from doing that with a mouse. Why do I have to sacrifice being able to modify my turning speed at my will for steadness when I can have both? :)

Yeah. I play on PC to not have to deal with controllers -- shudder
