Disclosure

Kind of an old topic, but this is killing me. I became very attached to my character from Oblivion. But now, we have no idea what happened to them. Bethesda hasn't really gave much information on what has happened to one of the most important figures of the Third Era. Did the Champion of Cyrodil disappear? Were they killed by the Thalmor?

Even if they lived on as Sheogorath, why would they help the Imperial City during the Great War? What exactly happened after the Oblivion Crisis was over, and they were announced the Champion of Cyrodil? Even the Nevarine was given disclosure, right? Didn't it say something about him going to another country? And saying that it's up to the player's choice is absolutely killing me, because if it were my choice, they would have done something about the war.

Thoughts? Please post below.

My question: Did the mage's guild fail because of the new archmage? ;)

Yeah. Open questions like that. It really keeps me wondering, because it's asthough everything my Champion of Cyrodil had done was only at the moment. Afterwards, were they wiped from history? likesrs.

It's kept quite because each and every character is different. For example, if they said that the Champion of Cyrodiilcwas an Imperial male and Master of the Fighter's Guild, I wouldn't be happy at all. For me, the Champion of Cyrodiil is a Breton woman, and Arch-Mage of the Mage's Guild.

The sheogorath thing is the disclosure. That's the main quest of the official DLC, and is an official ending(much like the death of Almalexia from Tribunal). It's also one of the few ways to reconcile all the possible choices the CoC could make

We could always assume it wasn't the Champion of Cyrodiil who went into the portal though. Rather, a very well-informed (much like many of Cyrodiil's late third era residents ;)) adventurer.

The lore writers would only have to name them as "Champion of Cyrodil" or "Arch Mage" etc, no need to mention race or six.

An adventurer that happens to be present for the thieves guild and the Dark Brotherhood questline events? not likely

Maybe he visited with that all-knowing scribe in the forest, I don't know.

The lore buffs try to argue for stuff like that, but it's pretty obvious Bethesda is telling us the COC truly did become Sheogorath
