Sprinting controls

Does anyone know what button you use to sprint on Ps3 or 360? I have tendinitis and most fps type games make you click the left stick, which can get strenuous over time. Maybe it will be like skyrim and use a shoulder button. Please let me know.

I'm really sorry to hear that. One of the forumites here, DrunkenWhaler, recently got a chance to play at a show so he could tell you or a dev might pop by that can answer your question. I'm not sure if you can re-edit a topic title, but if you can I would put the tag "Medical Necessity" and "Question". I know someone would come by then. If you're on Twitter, you could also ask Harvey Smith. I'm sure he would want you to have a comfortable experience. His ID is Harvey1966 I believe, but I'm not sure since I don't use Twitter. A frequent visitor here, StrifeCross, has asked Harvey questions frequently so he would definitely know. By the end of the day you should know one way or another. I hope you're able to find a control scheme that's comfortable.

Actually on that note, the customization options have been very thorough. What sort of control scheme works best for you usually?

AFAIK there is no confirmed info regarding the controls,

But i would think, that it's likely that sprint will be on the left stick, but perhabs you can change the individual buttons?

guess will have to wait and see, or let strife ask Harvey.

And welcome to the forums :)

On each console you can choose from 4 different pad mappings; for most of them, sprinting is achieved by clicking the left stick, but I believe there's one scheme in which it's moved to the left shoulder button (in this case, clicking the left stick will toggle the sneak mode on/off).

Mot games i play these days that have the leftstick to run is just a click and then move forward... not many games i've come across that forces the player to pushdown the stick while tilting it forward to sprint.. if this is the case with Dishonored i wont be sprinting at all... never.. ever.. :)

The worst games I played on the PS2 were those that had you hold down a stick to do something, like crouching or running instead of toggling. Trying to move forward while also holding the same stick down is one of the most painful console controls in my opinion.

All I can say is thanks a million for this.

Yeah man. Sarakyel, Dan Todd and Sidrath---they have logged some frequent flyer miles here along with being honorary firemen whenever there's less serious quibbles that are setting these here forums ablaze. Cool dudes all around and I hope we'll still see them a little post-launch to shower them with praise and an account at the Cayman Islands :P

I was curious about that. And that's amazing by the way! I love options, especially controller schemes. Thanks!
