Playing TESO on a monitor

Post » Tue Oct 02, 2012 4:33 am

Ok, so I am an Xbox gamer, and I am dying to play TESO.
I have a laptop but don't want to play on that.
I know I can hook up a controller to play with, but is anyone aware if I can hook it up to my TV and play it on the screen like that, with a wireless keyboard and controller maybe...etc.

New to PC Elder's Scrolls and any info will help.
Thanks for your feedback!

What will you actually RUN the game on? You can easily use HDMI cables to play through your tv - but you'll need a proper gaming system to actually run the game with (also - you won't be able to use your controller because MMOs typically need more buttons than that). In other words, your computer needs to have at least mid level specs to run the game. Let me know your hardware set up thoughts and I can help.

Well there are a few issues here.

For one, it's unlikely ESO will offer Xbox 360 controller support, or any other controller for that matter. You will more than likely be forced to use a mouse and keyboard.

Secondly if you have a VGA port or HDMI port (don't really know how old your laptop is), you can obtain the appropriate cable and hook it up to your television (depends on how old your television is).

Other than that, you should be able to play ESO with no issues as long as you have the appropriate accessories.
