Is it me or is the College of Winterhold....

The only truly "heroic" type of questline among the Guilds? I always want to make a Warrior hero, but I find the Companions kind of unsatisfying... they're kind of poser Nords to me actually. lol. The only way they'll become cool again is if you babysit them. The only ones I like are Kodlak and Vignar.. and it's Vignar who tells me "My advice: Stay away. You look too smart for this bunch." Immediately Farkas wants me to beat up regular townsfolk, and if I refuse he tells me I'm a snowberry better up in Winterhold. I think he's right. So I go to Winterhold. And lo and behold, there's no wonky soul selling/redeem-yourself-later storyline. It's too short, but at least you have a noble path. And the Psjics make you feel important on a level similar to the Greybeards. It has some subtle tie ins with the main baddies too (Thalmor), making it seem appropriate for a hero rather than killing old women or Werewolf hunters.
