I dislike post like this... it implies that DAOC 2 would be a bad thing....

I guess it is safe to assume you wanted something else.... a new standalone game?

I'm expecting we'll get access to a lot of different presets and then we'll be able to make modifications if we choose (similar to Guild Wars 2 but more). Certainly since players will predominantly being seeing the same races in their own territories, there needs to be diversity.

They actually need good char customization in my opinion, really do. God I hope its not so awful as Rifts. Id be quite happy with something like SWTOR had. If nothing else tons tons of armors, clothes, and costumes.

Couldn't agree more, DAOC was an amazing game and I am fine that they are following in the footsteps of DAOC in terms of their PvP system. And while they are taking some of ideas that made DAOC great into TESO, they certainly aren't making a clone.

I kind of expected that this would be the case, and I think it's probably the best route for them to take. Looking forward to some more news ZOS.

Im not saying a DAOC type setting is good bad or otherwise Im just saying that they have pretty much stated thats the mechanics of it months ago im not sure why so many ppl are surprised now that you are restricted to your own region, they told us months ago that this was the case
