1.8 Patch when?

Post » Thu Oct 04, 2012 12:17 pm

Its been more than 2 months since last update... also no news nor announcements, i hope a next Patch is around the corner and i also hope it adds more features, i really want Flow Based Water Shaders, Seasonal Foliage or Velvet Surfaces for non Rigid Objects... or how about DX11? Bethesda did promised it a long time ago before release.

Do you have a source of this "promise" of DX11?

I do not recall them promising DX11 before Skyrim came out.

No one has a damn clue when the patch will be out. There is no point in asking the community if they haven't said, as we'd know if we were told.

These threads get a bit tiresome, to tell you the truth.

The most I remember them 'promising' before release was that it would be optimized to take advantage of directx 11.

They even said back then, that it wouldn't involve anything more than just optimizations and that there'd be no additional features common to dx11 games.

Meaning, it could have been their way of saying it does not even take advantage of it at all and just relies on the updated subroutines inherent to the update. That's my take on it.

It would be nice to have DX11 to boost performance, i think the game looks quite good as it is, but its always good to have extra fps... but to be honest, i doubt they ever do it... Todd is known as Maiq also.

We've got a thread for DirectX11 already. We don't need another one of those.

Haha, my little pony avatar dude asked.

Anyway i think 1.8 is arround the corner, i assume Heartfire DLC may need some updates (assuming Heartfire does hit PC).
