Dwarves dlc maybe ?

Post » Sat Oct 06, 2012 5:20 am

So this is my first post ever, so hello to all you elder scroll fans.
So I know they've just release hearth fire and dawn guard which is amazing!
Anyway to the point. My theory, I'm playing the story from the beginning as my Breton was deleted by accident. Now I'm on the way to get an elderscroll as you do... I don't know if many of you have noticed the copious amount of soul gems in dwarves machinery ? I believe, and this is only a theory and it'd be a cool expansion that the dwarves aren't extinct but they've found a method to transfer their souls into the centurions etc, using an elderscroll perhaps? But I suspect that's why it's said that the dwarves machines walk the halls as if their masters where still there, just an idea to work on, also more dark brotherhood quests would be awesome, even if it means more from nazir, and more recruits in dawnstars sanctuary. What do you guys think about my theory?

The disappearance of the Dwarves has been covered more than sufficiently, so no Dwemer DLC for me.

Welcome to the forum, here, have a http://images.uesp.net/c/c4/Fishystick.jpg.

Look up the lore... you're not too far off. What is believed to be known is that the entire Dwemer race became somehow bound to an epicly huge dwemer construct. They made their own god. Anyway, this is "believed" to be what happened to every single dwemer save one, and since that dwemer was a "he"... no more dwemer. I, however, believe that SOME dwemer were clever enough to save themselves somehow (possibly a pocket created or locked with/by the Eye of Magnus). Many of your more hardcoe "lore is law" TESophiles will, however, fly into rabid, spittle-flying rages at the mere mention of the dwemer still existing, so expect any open discussion to be, um, heated, to say the least.

Welcome to the forums!

You're idea isn't terrible. We get alot of posts from people explaining how they would bring the Dwemer back and most are completely ridiculous. Your's however isn't too bad, but I doubt we will ever see anything that brings back the Dwarves. Knowing the lore behind their disappearence and extinction, it would be entirely too difficult to bring them back, let alone bring them back in a DLC.

If people seem unwelcoming of your idea, don't worry. It's just we see alot DLC ideas involving the Dwemer.

Anyway, once again, welcome to the forums. Hope you stick around.
