I hope I don't come off as an intolerant grouch, but in my town at least there seems to be a population explosion of Chihuahuas. The old man on one side of me has three and the couple on the other side of me has two. They're all outside of course yapping continually. Away from home the past few weeks I've seen an old couple place a large one (standard size I guess) in the food portion of their shopping cart and bring it in the grocery store (against California health regulations). I saw a family bring one in a large pharmacy, place it in a large wheeled handbasket the store provides and wheel it around with them. Just this morning at the bank there was a woman with one riding on her shoulders at the ATM next to me. She had three more in her car and when a man pulled up with one in his car and parked next to her they all five starting yapping and barking at each other.
This is getting weird. Again, it may just be my town, but people are treating this animals like small children hauling them around where ever they go. They always seem to push the rules trying to bring them in stores and restaurants/fast food places as well. Reality check - they aren't people!
OK, rant over.
