[RELWIP] Dreamweaver Mod - (Story, Func, Preview)

Post » Sun Oct 07, 2012 3:55 pm

Hello Skyrim Community!

I am currently at about 50% completion of the Skyrim mod, with a full name of "The Canticle of the Dreamweaver".

Here is a preview of the mod, which is story-driven and adds new functionality!...

New Locations:
Monolith: An underground city inside Dwemer ruins. The location is unique in the main Skyrim world, and holds quite a few secrets waiting to be discovered.
Crux Glade: A re-purposed inn in eastern Skyrim, where the last bastion of an ancient and mysterious group known as "The Nightmare Order" resides.
Darkspire Peak: (A surprise)

New Functionality:
New Shout: This shout will cause your enemy to experience nightmarish apparitions that are more than just their imagination. These apparitions attack your enemy, terrorizing them.
New Follower: Like none else in all of Skyrim. This follower is neither man, nor mer, and yet not a beast either.
New Town Servants: Humans are not often used as housekeepers and servants. Re-purposed Dwarven machinery supports the townsfolk of Monolith. A brilliant, eccentric, and quirky old man has discovered many of their secrets, and these are his children.

The Dreamweaver IS coming - get ready...

**Here is a previous thread before I began work on the project. It still has some interesting information, including a short pitch and a dialogue sample, so you can see my writing strengths. I have written novels, and am often told that my dialogue is a particular strong point in my stories. The dialogue sample in this thread, between the player and the Dreamweaver, will allow you to formulate your own opinions about that.**

-Tell me what you think guys.
-This is particularly story driven, but I will be polishing all of this quite a bit when the main story and quest creation is complete.
-I want this to be something Bethesda, and any game company for that matter, would be proud to publish themselves.

All criticism and comments are quite welcome! Thanks for reading

Sounds cool, when are you planning on a release? Will you be doing a beta?

Looks interesting, I'll have a look once you've got links back up.

I definitely intend to do a beta at some point in the near future. What I want to do is try to polish it up a good bit before I let others try to break it.
