In Skyrim, during the College of Winterhold questline, you find the Eye of Magnus which is a powerful giant stone ball with very powerful magical abilities, and is from an ancient god-like being that is long gone. You also meet the Psijic Order which is a group of people who rarely interact with the rest of the world but they did so this once to get rid of the Eye. Also, someone else wishes to use the Eye for evil (That Thalmor Guy). Lastly, there is the Staff of Magnus which is a very powerful staff from an ancient god-like being that is long gone; please correct me if I am wrong.

In RuneScape, during the Mahjarrat questline, a villain known as Lucien manage to steal the Staff of Armadyl, a powerful artifact made by a god that is long gone now, and also stole the Stone of Jas, which the player had found first. The Stone of Jas is a powerful giant stone ball with very powerful magical abilities and is from an ancient god-like being that is long gone. There is also an Order of Armadyl that rarely interact with the rest of the world and decided to do so once to stop Lucien and get the Stone of Jas away from everybody...
