A reason to eat food?
Why don't we celebrate this in Ireland?

What's thanksgiving about again?

Just checked. Apparently it is to do with the historical period I'm studying. It is basically a holiday that was used to make up for the lack of protestant days of rest after the religious reformation in edward vi's reign.

Eating more than you should and "thinking" about the poor people who cannot over indulge with you. You know... like the ones you get paid a few cents to make our clothes

Thanksgiving won't be here for over a month for us United Statesians. This thread makes me sad and hungry for turkey.

Like the people who've never seen the magical black box you use to play Skyrim and send messages like this one.

Because in Ireland (and Scotland) we instead have reasons to drink. St Patrick's Day, New Years Eve, Burns Night....Saturdays....

Happy thanksgiving Canucks!! :D

I buy American only. I go to a local Walmart, in America, and buy things. =)

Well, the date may be different for the US, but at least we have the guest of honor in common.

The thread says "Happy Thanksgiving Everyone" and inside the thread it says it's only meant for canadians. :(

We don't even celebrate Thanksgiving around here, but I've always wanted an excuse to eat even more food.

Yes it's for everyone, but if I didn't say the Canadian part, then most people will be saying it's not Thanksgiving because most people here will think of US Thanksgiving, not the Canadian Thanks giving.

So happy Thanksgiving Erginho. :D

Here I thought you we're from the future. But no, your Canadian. Happy Thanksgiving my Canadian brother/sister.
Thanksgiving for us in the US isn't until November.
