Inspiration for Nord ancient towers?

Hello , while googling around to find some inspiration for some ancient viking /Nord style castle structures I found this

Wich reminds me a lot of the Nord ancient Towers scattered around in skyrim ....

Btw this is the Castle of Keiss Castle
Its possible...Bethesda likely took inspiration from many real world sources when designing Skyrim's locations.

I do wish I paid attention to the Making Of. And I should look up the Artbook one of these days. All I can remember from the pre-release teasers was just ... well, Nord inspirations.

One of them being Technoviking
Of all the pictures in the guy's open artbook, it was a photograph of Technoviking.
---Sourced back in the ... Music of Skyrim video, I think? On the man's desk, there was the scrap-book.

Fort Kastav has the same name as little town where I live right now, and it even has Fort aswell. I suppose there might be something about it..
