http://twitter.com/TESOnline will players from one faction be able to visit the areas of other factions?

Not too surprising as this is exactly the same approach DAoC took. Now that this isn't just purely player speculation, what are the community's thoughts on this? Are you happy with this conclusion? Would you like to see it changed post-launch?

Discuss.

Well, in most faction games, the guards would slay opposing faction members on sight anyway. However, does that mean we can't explore the whole world map? Or just other Faction provinces/cities/keeps?

Rift is handling the factions very well, IMO. You can try and sneak into the opposing faction city (watch out for the guards) and you even battle side by side in various provinces with the members of the other faction.

I am mainly looking forward to explore the world in this MMO, since there are provinces that I've never been too. So, if they restrict us like this, yea, I'll just stick with Guild Wars 2. HUGE world, no restrictions ;)
