The Walking Dead Thread

Here you can discuss anything relating to the Walking Dead universe. TV show, games, and comics are are appropriate topics.

With that said, I can't wait until Episode 4 comes out tomorrow for the 360.

Started watching The Walking Dead a few months ago on Netflix and got hooked on it quick. Now that Season 3 is getting ready to start up I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next, although I don't really miss that extra bill at the end of the month. If there is another alternative to getting my fix for that (and Hell on Wheels) I'd be willing to entertain ideas. Cable is still an option, but not one I'm fond of at the moment.

I have yet to watch The Walking Dead, but I've been considering watching it for a while now. I've been busy with assignments and stuff lately, so I haven't really had much time to look it up. I think I'll check it out though whenever I get time. :)

The last two episodes of season 2 are the best season ending episodes I've literally ever seen for a show.

These are just spoilers of seasons 1 and 2. If you've seen those then you're fine.

Spoiler
From the ending of the second to last episode right after Shane died and Rick and Carl were surrounded by thousands of walkers. That was crazy! Then the pure chaos when the farm falls under attack on the last episode Both episodes were so well done.

I'm questioning something about the new season though.

Spoiler
After watching the season 3 trailer, it really looks like they could use Shane more now than ever. I wish he didn't have to die

Then this right here is why I think the writing and creativity for this show is unparalled.

Spoiler
In the season 1 cliffhanger, the doctor at the CDC whispers something into Ricks ear. It's not until the very end of season 2 when we learn that the doctor whispered to Rick that everyone is a carrier of the "walker" virus and whomever dies comes back as a walker.

Spoiler
Shane was a danger to the entire group, he needed to die. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Plus, he was nailing Ricks wife while he was laid up in the hospital, that shows me everything I need to know about how much he values the feelings of others.

Oh I know that.

Spoiler
I'm just looking at it from a standpoint to where he would be an asset since he could protect the group from outside enemies, whether they be living or dead. And by the looks of things they're going to need all the help they can get.
