That svcks, if you ask me the game isn't dark enough ( my tastes ). It has sooOOOoo much potential to be a rather dark game and yet here we are. :dry:

It's still a very dark game, if you look hard enough, but this quest could have taken it to a new level.

If there's enough unused dialogue there, it could probably be restored and modded in on PC. Something to think about..

True, but sadly console players would't be able to experience it.

Most of what's going on in the Pale still makes me cringe. Actually, most of the core Stormcloak regions are pretty lousy with ne'er'do'wells, but then again The Reach is pretty much one endless stream of evil.

Another daedric quest was also originally scheduled to kill a Jarl but it was deleted from the game. According to UESP anyway.

I know. The Reach is something Lovecraft would dream up, its appearance is just a sinister as what lurks inside it.
Dont get me started about the pale, that necromancer is one of the few times I saw pure evil in Skyrim...
