An epic battle indeed - low levels ftw!

I just had the most epic battle in my Skyrim career. I know some might see this as useless thing to share but here it is;

Level 9 Nord
Weapon; Orcish Warmace (Fine) 42 dmg
Equipment; Studded Armor (Fine), Fur Bracers, Hide boots, total armor rating 41
Necklace; Necklace of minor haggling - 12% reduced price / Not important at all
Difficulty; Expert

Anyhow, just North-East from Rorikstead there are two broken Forts of Frosworn. My character is the wanderer on the lookout for glorious battles and fine mead. After he filled his bags with mead and some raw meat, he wandered towards Markarth. So it is middle of the night, and he ren into first broken Fort with Frosworn. He realized they are too much effort for little glory, so he continued forth.
As he approached second Fort, he heard battle going on. As sneaky as Nord warrior can be, he approached it and saw the most glorious sight possible. Bunch of Frosworn fighting - A dragon!
It was enough for Holthor Stormshout to arrive to the party. Even with a dragon on the loose, Frosworn noticed him, and focused his arrows towards him as dragon was burning everything on the move, including Holthor himself.
He ren towards the broken Fort, to get a better position, and force Frosworn into melee. As he ren out of sight, they decided to have another dance with a dragon.
So, Holthur found a bow and some arrows, and decided to use it (I made an epic shot waaaay above the battlefield on some random Frosworn on the run, more luck then skill).
Anyhow, battle lasted for 20 minutes real life, so much running, switching positions, dodging arrows and all untill I finally killed a dragon somehow, killed loads of frostworn, but I died at the end by some random arrow from Brianheart. Even with the fact I died, it was so epic and so long and.. Wow. 9th level, and so much fun, beats my high level chars anytime. It was just amazing, and I am aware it doesn't sound 1% as awesome as it was.

So at this point I actually realize how high level chars are overrated. Facerolling everything with smithing on Master isn't fun anymore, you just know you will clear the dungeon and be done with it. But this char.. I don't know, I just might just slow my leveling and look for more battles like these, because low levels are so much fun when you can get 3-4 shotted by a simple arrow. It totally requires you to stay focused 24/7, and use alternative paths towards the enemy as he shoots at you :D
Does anyone else feel the same? Lower level chars for better experience and more fun?

Yes.

Low levels are the most exciting. I recently downloaded the Community Uncapper mod to slow the leveling. It's great. In vanilla, you level so quickly, you don't get a chance to really develop some skills so that they keep up with your level, Restoration specifically. You can find and create some good weapons and enchantments that really help you out at first, but you can still find better weapons through exploration.

I've it takes longer to level, it seems to me to make every level and every perk point that much more important, because you're not got to have another on within the next ten minutes. It encourages you to to out and explore and do things.

I feel that by default, you reach your ideal character build too quickly and become bored.

Oh yeah.. this and No Fast Travel, Compass, or Crosshair/Sneak Eye.
