Anyone Just See "The Plane Crash"

The plane crash program on channel 4 (uk) was well worth the watch! Very fascinating to see a airliner crash in controlled circumstances.

Anyone else catch it? Do you think the front landing gear should be designed to snap off? I do.

I saw some of it. It was interesting, but I wasn't able to watch it all. Pretty amazing how far they go to test it. Also the remote control is pretty neat.

Yep I watched it. I'd logged into 22F. I'm pretty sure I'm dead...

I saw the crash itself but then I went to watch Mad Men which in a way was even more distressing.

I didn't get to see it because I was out, but it sounded interesting/scary. All my friends are talking about it so maybe I'll get around to catching it on 4oD or something.

What was the crash like? Did majority of the 'passengers' die, as you'd expect them to?

I recorded it on my DVR since I knew the show was going to have a lot of the "lead up" junk since it's TV programming. FF'd towards the end where they got to the cool nuts and bolts of the stuff, finally crashing the plane and all. Found it impressive how they guided it in and the data they got off of it. Think the crash test dummies were the unique part to see how each one responded to damage. Glad that the brace position is still useful, but it isn't 100% safe preventing all injury.

I watched it.

Spoiler
The breakaway Cockpit seems like a pretty bad idea to me.
