For players who played the base game and installed Tribunal at a later time, it might not be a big deal; they'd most probably start Tribunal with their strong character.
For new players however (especially those who boughty the GOTY version), this comes off as annoying.
Fast forward to 2012 - this crap is happening again with Skyrim and Dawnguard.
There was a mod for Morrowind that "delayed" the DB attacks until a certain condition is met.
Can someone do the same for Dawnguard? I feel that the vampire attacks shouldn't start at all until either the player is of a certain level, or has actually visited Fort Dawnguard. This is so that GOTY players can take their time and play the base game first without having their NPCs being attacked in towns constantly.
Please do not post the following (these are NOT the solutions I'm interested in):
- Disable dawnguard.esm
- That mod with the vampire repelling amulet
- Basically, any counter-gameplay solution that involves some form of unnatural micromanagement (don't fast travel etc). I want to play the game, not have to worry about NPCs and make rounds across the entire town just to make sure there are no vampires
