Maybe i'm in the wrong place for this and if I am, i'm sorry. So i've been doing some research on this and I saw that this quest bug has been around for close to a year now. I could not locate a workaround for this at all so i'm asking here. I am stuck on killing Ennodius Papius. Everytime I tried to kill him it would not complete the quest so therefore I am stuck on the entire dark brotherhood questline. I finally got fed up with it and played for about 9 more hours so I lost my auto saves. Is there a way to restart the quest or get the game to recognize that he is dead after I have already killed him? If so please help me out.

I sent an email to bethesday a week ago and still have not gotten a reply on it at all. Thank you for any responses and please let someone figure this out lol.

I found this, I don't know if it helps.

The kill on Ennodius Papius may not register at all, with the quest marker still pointing to his corpse. This will cause progress in the Dark Brotherhood quest lines to stall out.

• Possible workaround: save the game in a completely separate location (inside an interior cell). Then, exit to dashboard and reset the cache. Load the saved game, travel to Anga's Mill, and kill Ennodius.

Wish I could be more helpful, I only did that faction once and didn't run into the problem. UESP doesn't list any other suggestions for fixing it, let's hope somebody here can come up with something. I assume you don't have a save from just before you got the quest that you can revert to?
