Am I asking to be pissed off?

So, last year I bought Battlefield 3. I installed it. I installed the client software. I could never get it to work. I hist up the Battlelog forums, EA forums and EA Support for help in getting it to work. All to no avail. No one not even EA support could offer any help and I was treated poorly.

So, today. I decide to give it a go. Again. The client software installed fine. Origin installed fine and now I'm installing BF3 at 360 kb/s and with a 12 hour wait time until it's complete.

Now, keep in mind. I didn't rebuy BF3. I own it. But I've never played it. So, do you think I'm asking to be pissed off again?

My convictions still stand. I won't ever buy an EA game again. I hate both EA and Origin but I figured for whatever reason that I do own the game I should try it...if I can get it to work. I figure if it still doesn't work and I can't get it to work then I'll just uninstall everything again.

Hopefully they don't ask for the CD key because I threw it out. I could always ask for a new one?

Well, one would think with the passing of time, more issues would have arisen, and thus someone would eventually have had the same problem, and complained, but had better luck, so the issue might be documented and info on a fix available. I'd imagine if you do run in to the problem again, you should arguably have more help available this time around.

Don't know about CD key though.

If your game is already registered on Origin you can get the CD key by right clicking on it in the Origin interface then going to settings and you should be able to see the product key (if my memory serves me right). Although I don't think you'll need it.

Ok cool. I'm probably not going to be able to even remotely try to play it until tomorrow. It's up to 14 hours and 250 kb/s. Although it's my fault because I keep watching the videos and remembering how stoked I was for this game last year.

Origin is really not a terrible thing, in that it provides a very nice and concise area to manage all of your game stuff. The biggest problem is that it's required to play the game (barring some workaround that I've never bothered looking for), as opposed to just being optional, not to mention whatever DRM it may contain.
