I am running directX 11. I just downloaded skyrim from steam and am having game-breaking issues with it. When I start a game, the first loading screen, instead of displaying the alduin statue, displays a weird floating red patch at the bottom. When the cart scene loads, everything goes fine until I stand up to exit the cart, at which point the red patch appears again at the bottom of one of the prisoner's feet, and i start drifting sideways, until I end up standing on the ground, but halfway in the cart, so my head is sticking out of its floor, and I am facing the back wall. When I am called forwards by Hadvar, my feet start moving, but the character is stuck and can't get anywhere. He just keeps walking forever. Restarting the game did not solve this issue. The windows 7 operating system is running on mac hardware using bootcamp, if that makes any difference.
