First M'aiq the Liar experience in Skyrim?

Post » Tue Oct 16, 2012 10:54 am

Out of sheer curiosity, and boredom, I was wondering when each of you guys first saw M'aiq the Liar in Skyrim, and whereabouts on the map it was? :) I met him literally 10 minutes into my first account on 11.11.11, was a joyous moment to see him again, I remember he was by Honningbrew Meadery.

My first time seeing him was in the Windpeak Inn in Dawnstar...

I am also known as BowBow The Poller...

BowBow: May I have a moment of your time to fill out a poll? :D

Alduin: Sure, why not.

BowBow: What is your favorite standing stone?

Alduin: Shadow!

BowBow: What is your favorite birth sign?

*Few hours later*

Alduin: Can't take anymore of this... *Commits suicide on the Throat of the World*

It was somewhere on some path near Markarth. He said I was beautiful and that he would call me when he gets home. And he even said I was the best he ever had.

Outside Winterhold, somewhere on the road east and south, going towards Windheld. He was just standing there about 50 feet away from the road. I didn't know M'aiq was even in the game at that point and I was thrilled. I was so excited I took about five screenshots so I could post them on this forum as proof that I had actually seen him.

Little did I know then that M'aiq was actually kind of a creepy stalker. All of my characters see him everywhere they go.

When I usually rent a room at a Inn, M'iaq is usually there watching me sleep. I just run off, because he is very creepy when he watches me sleep.

Really? That's never happened to me before!
I definitely wouldn't want M'aiq staring at me all the time while I'm in bed, so I'm cool with it not happening.
Anyway, I first met M'aiq on the road to Windhelm. It was snowing, and M'aiq said "There is much snow in Skyrim. M'aiq does not need anymore." Or something similar to that.

It was not until a month after release I finally encountered him. It was outside Markarth, around the main path by the river.

I see the guy everywhere, I try not to fast travel so I regularly see him on the road or slightly in land from the road. Its odd to find him wondering the plains at times though. I'm going to say I probably saw him within hours of my first playing the game..

Just on the road to Solitude I believe, about 15-20 hours in. Probably the happiest moment of my Skyrim life. :3

I absolutely have no idea. I may have encountered him my 1st time walking between Whiterun and Solitude. I've heard everything from beards to Mysticism.
