Finally They Got It Right!

This game is great.

I love how it bucks the trend of being a "Save & Re-Load-fest".

It's like "Deus Ex: Human Revolution"... but actually fun to play!

(and that's taking nothing away from people who enjoyed "Deus Ex" but ithere's a reason the sale price dropped like a stone from £ 40.00 to £12.00 in less than a month).

Great that Arkane have made such a fun game.

Great that Bethesda have published something by a third party developer that's actually really good.

Dishonored non-lethal stealth approach is very bland if you compare it with Deus Ex: Human Revolution non-lethal stealth approach. Also in some situations DXHR stealth AI works much better. At least DXHR AI can wake up each other and notices when you're trying to open a door.

That's right, you just keep telling those fools until they learn that the game they enjoy actually svcks.

Seriously though, why do you feel the need to talk back to people simply stating that this game appealed more to THEM?

He said it's more fun for him, not that the AI is better.

And? I don't want those stupid A.I's waking each other up. When their stupid like that it's more fun to stick a knife in their neck. I'd say the game needed more powers that reinforce a stealth playthrough but apart from that Dishonored is great.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, but I wanna give Deus Ex a try now! Especially if it'll only cost me about five cents!

Though yes, now that I know unconscious enemies can't be woken up, I wish they could. Still, its beneficial to hide bodies, since when they're found enemies do become alert.

I agree with all statements, I'll start with Deus Ex as soon as Dishonored lets me.. and I hope waking up might be introduced with a patch, it's possible (though unlikely).

Yeah, I'm not quite done with Dishonored yet. Think I'm gonna beat it once I get out of classes today, though I'm sure I'll play through a few more times before seeing what this Deus Ex thing is all about.

I like both but out of the two I think DXHR is the better one (mainly because I prefer sci-fi to steampunk and DXHR is actually closer to what could possibly happen in the near future - oh and Deus Ex is a matured IP. Maybe the third version of Dishonored will be as good).

The only reason DXHR price dropped is because everyone who was going to buy it bought it and enjoyed it heh. I wish I had the patience to wait until the price dropped but those crafty distribution teams throw in the pre-order DLC that you just gotta have.

Anyway, my recommendation is to buy DXHR. I doubt you will be disappointed... but then again, I've been a fan of DX since the first one came out.

Hmm...I generally prefer settings like Dishonored's to futuristic ones, but I'll probably really enjoy it anyway! Definitely gonna give it a shot soon.

And I don't judge a game by popularity by any means. Most of the real gems (like Dishonored, for example!) don't even touch the best-sellers lists.

I woudln't lable anyone who enjoyed "Deus Ex" a fool.

There's no denying though that the price dropped like a stone and you can find copies of it everywhere for peanuts though.

"Deus Ex" suffered from the same problem as the early "Splinter Cell" games: Save & Re-Load fest.

Proceed... die... learn from your mistake and do again without dying.

Also if you were discovered in early "Splinter Cell" Special Agent Sam Fisher, Marine / Ranger / Spec Ops Commando couldn't shoot a wall 2 feet in front of him.

With "Conviction" they improved things by having Sam be able to efficiently take enemies down if things all went South.

In the same way "Deus Ex" main character was made of a water solluble glass that shattered into a million peices if an enemy shot you with as much as a harch glance.

Overall much like "Conviction", "Dishonoured" has got the balance right between fight or flight which "Deus Ex" didn't.
