Why does Google almost never celebrate anniversaries on roun

Post » Thu Oct 18, 2012 12:26 pm

Like today Google celebrates the 161st anniversary of Moby dike. Why the 161? I've noticed this many times before, like the Star Trek's 46th anniversary. Why not 160th, or 45th? Seems strange to me...

It is how they pass information onto the others.

Because they need something to commemorate every day of the year, and something different every year, and they're just winging it?

Sure seems like it. Especially when they have anniversaries of things/people no one's ever heard of!

I'm guessing it's the same reason why VALVe can't count to 3 (or at least don't like the number 3).

Speaking of microwaves and things people never do, I always feel the need to manually shut the microwave off 1-3 seconds before the timer's run down. It's like I can't bear waiting just a few more seconds. PRESS STOP. :ahhh:
