64 Bit Please

Post » Fri Oct 19, 2012 5:46 am

I would like to re emphasis this an politely "ASK" for bethesda to release a 64 bit version of skyrim
This is not a petition or a rally this is simply a query as to why onehasn't been released considering the amount of mods beng released that will require it.
Some reasons to have 64 Bit build of skyrim:

Over 90% of all computer retail built are 64 bitos With more than 4gigs of ram.
This is not including the custom buil Uber Gaming PC rigs that alot of the pc community has at least one of.
With the flood of mods comming in,ranging from HIgh res textures , Enb Configs that have perfomce dragging ssao and SIL configs and post processing.
Also just the range of Mods comming out. Skyrim is gonna need 64 bit verson Pretty soon.
64 bit allows potencially infinite ramallocationand by infinite I do mean that you cannot hit the max on any modern motherboard.
This will allow skyrim to allocate up to 24, and 64 gigs of ram using the approprate motherboards.. but eventhose ofus with 12, 16 and 20 gigs of ram will benefit. Btw is like over half the pc community probably has over 4 gigs of ram. Cmon bethesda making a game only utilising 4 gigs is so last 2006 its 2012 people get with the program.

Anyway I hope those at bethesda reall think about this because the way the mods keep pouring out. It is gonna be an eventuality, Also by allowing 64 bit versions of skyrim you really openthe doors to modders because then the sky is the limit so to say. you wouldensure the games life over 10 fold. because the mods would keep tthegame modern 5 maybe even 10 years down the road. This is a good investment For the modders and for the players andof course bethesda. Please for the loveof sheogorath.

GIVE US 64BIT SKYRIM!

FUSROHDAH!!!!

Thank you for you're time

A 64 bit build would ensure skyrims future in modding and longevity. and with some mods like the high res textures, the enb configs with all the post procesing. you startto hit the 4gig mark fairly quick

I wouldnt expect anything like this for a while. For starters PC users make up 10% of total sales. Secondly, although an important part of extending play longevity mods don't make Bethesada any money so to impliment something soley to accomadate PC users and Mods won't be a priority, especiallly with DLCs still in the works.

Lets look at the numbers,

Xbox 360 6.31 million units sold
vgchartz dot com/game/49112/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim

PC 10million units sold
vg247 dot com/2011/12/16/skyrim-ships-10-million-units-worldwide-sets-steam-record

And well ps3 is not getting any more dlc's and ps3 is probablyon the lower endof the bar.

Despite the illusion that consoles sell more the numbers don't lie.

Justsaying.

So shouldn't the pc users get priority?
