Discussion/Thoughts of the Previous Episode
While I have been keeping up with Adventure time, it was the last episode that really pulled on them heart-strings and brought me back into the Adventure Time love. Being trapped inside your own Brain, unable to remember anything of your past, while continuously being driven insane by the one thing keeping you alive.. It's daunting.
Surprisingly enough, the lyrics he wrote (the one he sang with Marceline) we're written either before he left, or on his way to her house, which in turn means that there is still a piece of Simon trapped in the Ice King that was trying to reach out to her and explain what had happened.
