Dawnguard is ok but it has a lot of little annoyances there is no real choices in the game they both lead to the same point and lead to the same things I haven't played Hearthfire don't plan on getting it judging by some of the things I've read it's not all that great either and all the houses are the same

I am planning to get Hearthfire soon, don't have Dawnguard.

I always wanted to build a house, and adopt children. Even my personal sla-... I mean Steward.

It's a matter of debate whether the DLC is good or not.

I personally quite enjoyed Dawnguard, I have yet to try out Hearthfire since my game won't stop crashing.

As I PC user, I was thankful for the X-Box exclusive on Dawnguard. If it had come out on the PC at the same time, I might have made the mistake of buying it. Now I know better. Hearthfire I will eventually get though, once I get back to playing Skyrim again. It is nothing dramatic, but an addon does not have be gigantic to be fun and useful.

Still I think the PS3 folks have really been treated poorly by Bethesda. I can understand if Bethesda does not want to make DLCs for the PS3, it does mean extra time and resources and thusly more money they have to spend. But they should just come right out and be honest, and say that they are not going to do it. Stringing people along and pretending that they are going to release DLCs for the PS3, when they appear to have no intention of ever doing so, is just disingenuous. Bethesda wants PS3 users to buy the game, but they appear to be unwilling to give the PS3 users the support they paid for.

DLC in any way, shape, or form, is completely subjective. There are people who think that dawnguard is buggy as hell, and that it was a waste of money. I haven't even found a bug yet in the dlc, and if i did then it obviously wasn't big enough to remember. I think that dawnguard has a great story. I absolutely LOVE that the vampires attack random NPC and invade holds all of the time. It really pumps my adrenaline. I love the new houses you can build with hearthfire. These all suite MY style of game play. And back to bugs and glitches, I quite frankly ENJOY them. I don't laugh as much as I do when glitches are in video games. They are so funny. As far as i'm concerned, an elder scroll game without a mass of glitches isn't going to keep me occupied.

Like I said, DLC is subjective. This game is subjective. and I will happily burn holes in my pocket for this company because in my eyes, they make absolutely great content.

Couldn't agree more. I've thought the DLC so far has been quite good. Dawngaurd in particular I thought was great. Especailly when you consider this "minor" DLC has more content in it than other companies full game releases.

It does make me feel bad for the PS3 folks, we PC users haven't exactly been given the attention we deserve either, but hey, at least we actually get DLC.

I'm actually fine with bugs & glitches so long as they don't get in the way of the quests. Things like that giant club bug are sometimes quite amusing, while others (Forsworn conspiracy); not so much.

Plus the creation kit; shame we also got a shoddy GUI.

Dawnguard isn't worth 20 dollars, period. The MQ is relatively short for the price of entry. Dawnguard shines through its content such as X bows, fletching, VL/Werewolf stuff, the Aetherium Forge etc. IMO, it should have been a $10 DLC. I fail to see how it warrants a price tag double that of Point Lookout which added a landmass, new guns, an MQ, multiple side quests and made some changes to the D.C. wasteland such as adding Punga fruit to vendors. No matter who you side with, you do the exact same thing. The Volkihar/Dawnguard factions are a veil, your allegience lies with Serana.

If Dawnguard was 10 dollars, my opinion on the DLC would be dramatically different. I would have rated it from "mediocre" to "impressive".

So yes, PS3 folks, if you are conservative of your money, you did not miss out on much.

They were alright. Hearthfire was just what it was. A five dollar house mod. We paid less for slightly better living accomodations in Oblivion(Frostcrag was more impressively designed than the Manors). Dawnguard was mostly worth $20, save for the fact that it was really short.

Ive only got dawnguard so far and it was good, i enjoyed it alot. Only thing that dissapointed me was.. in an interveiw with a guy from bethseda leading upto the release of dawnguard he said dawnguard is an extra 20hours of gameplay which i was chuffed about but i got it and finished dawnguard in less than 4 hours..

yeah i still had a few new unique weapons and armour to find but still i would of accomplished that in less than 10 hours easy. Apart from this i did enjoy dawnguard, could of lasted a bit longer but still it let you morph into a flying vampire lord that could throw people around like rag dolls so it made up for in brand new features what it lacked it play time.

Hearthfire from what ive read.. sounds like all you can do is buy some land and build a house.. and adopt a child. Why? I dont know about you lot it sounds like the stupidest DLC ive ever heard of.

I dont want to build a house...I want some new spells and shouts.. some new atronachs for summoning with some new weapons and armour.. new enchantments and maybe even a little feature that lets me make my character look like a dremora lord! (Id settle for jus the last one)

I know i probably sound stupid moaning... but i cant see the fun in building a house and adopting a child.. i didnt have fun doing it on the sims so why am i going to enjoy doing it on skyrim.

I still think dawnguard was ok. It wasn't revolutionary nor was it terrible.

I have fun with owning houses and raising children in the fable games building a house in the game could be fun but from the way some talk about it all you do is select from a bunch of options I thought it would have more depth to it than that

I never decorated my house in fable and i lost the baby because my wife tried to leave me but instead she got a swift hammer to the head lol
everytime i got a wife on that game id forget to visit her and she would leave... this happend on numerous occasions, was too busy trying to get behind the demon doors! i became obssessed with beating them evil doors lol

Well thankfully those PS3 users have your opinion to go off of.

Wouldn't want em paying a rather insignifigant price for a DLC that is longer than most SP games nowadays.

If PS3 ever gets it that is.
