Finally got Vilkas to ask to be cured of Lycanthropy, so I did the deed, and like his baby brother he reported how great it felt. So I decided it was time to cure myself. Took about 30 seconds to drop the head and kill my beast-self. And then a great surge of --nothing.

And the first guard I ran into told me he found my wolfish grin unsettling, but at least I got a good night's sleep.

Couldn't they at least given me a fanfare of triumphal music, or a brief fade out or even a pop-up saying I felt different?

Yes, they could, but no, they didn't.

The guards will continue to make remarks about your supposedly furriness, and the counter in the stats menue will keep on counting days as a werewolf. These things are probably bugs though.
