Hey. :woot:
I'm just a little curious about what type of Dishonored gameplay videos you like watching on YouTube and what do you want them to contain?

I don't watch *full* videos, but I have a specific channel that I like that's done a Dishonored playthrough, and I
would consult it if I had a problem getting past a tricky spot.

Exciting kills (creative or not), clever distractions, daring escapes, good use of powers, and engaging the slow mo cam, like a headshot snipe with crossbow from a distance showing the bolt slowed down and rotating before impact.

I personally like seeing vids that make as best use as possible of the game's graphics as well, along with good use of capture settings to optimize visual quality. There's also some file edits that can be done in this game to give it better image quality if you play on PC.

On W7, look for the DishonoredEngine.ini file at Documents\My Games\Dishonored\DishonoredGame\Config. First back up the original copy of this file and save it in a separate folder. Now open the file with Notepad and do an Edit\Find search for SystemSetings.

In the SystemSettings command tree, set AmbientOcclusion to True, DetailMode to 5, MinShadowResolution to 384, MaxShadowResolution to 4096, MaxAnisotropy to 16, and MaxMultisamples (AA) to whatever your system can handle. You can also use something like VirtuaDub to add some color saturation upon compression of your vid, as this game's colors tend to look washed out.

The above settings are safe even with my GTS 250 1GB at 1600x900. I use 2 for MaxMultisamples. You may want to use 4 or even 8 for a more powerful GPU. The game looks quite a bit better with these file tweaks, but it would still benefit from an HD texture patch or DLC.

Only 360p, are you kidding? Kill looks clever at first, but more a sign of poor game design that allows a lot of sploits to slip through. Even possession drops from high falls were something game testers found that devs were unaware of, but at least there the lack of health loss makes sense.

Micro size gameplay sploit vids are far too common on YT for me to take interest in them. I'd much rather see something with some atmosphere and creativity to them. These tend to look like mere horsing around, and only detract from the immersion.
