WoW, think we can offically dump all wow-clone crap?

"By far the most interesting concept of The Elder Scrolls Online comes with its attitude towards the modern, socially networked age. Basic concepts are built in including the ability to import your Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus friends to your in-game friends list – that’s sort of standard – but most interesting of all is the game’s approach to connection – the ‘Mega Server’.

The Elder Scrolls Online plans to have no server lists or servers at all in the traditional sense – when you boot the game you simply connect to one ‘giant’ server and hit play. You’ll instead subtly and seamlessly translate to and from various ‘pocket’ servers of a sort, and players in those will be matched to preferences you set
."

"The main, simplest observation to draw from the game is that it feels like an Elder Scrolls game – specifically the PC version of Skyrim. Unlike most MMOs there’s a reticule on-screen and using the mouse looks around like an average third-person action game."

I still'd add that offline progression take no risk with progression/grind, its tricky one, ifs too casual and easy people quit if too steep they cry and whine. Id try to balance it via offlein progression.

Nick Konkle: We have endeavoured to include everything. That is absolutely what we’ve done. I’m glad you’ve picked the example of lockpicking – you bet that’s in the game. It’s a fun little mini-game – I’m not going to get into the details on that as I’m not sure what the official word is, but lockpicking, crafting – different types of crafting, enchanting weapons, making potions...

It goes all the way down to ‘there is a loaf of bread on that table, let me pick it up. There’s a cup. What could that cup do? Let me pick it up and see.’ That’s the Elder Scrolls experience – this is a world – it’s not playing a game with some nice decoration. You can do all that in our game, in our world, you can walk up to a crate and be like ‘what’s in this crate?’

BOOM! Those shooting stars are the posts of the unfaithful, crashing to Nirn like the cans of garbage they are.
