Extremely dissapointing TV-series

I was looking forward to see the new tv-series "House of lies" with Don Cheadle. I was expecting a kinda tongue-in-cheek corporate con-thing. Yes a small portion of it was. But mostly it was just crap.
It seems that the creator/director of the series main goal was make every character as stupid as possible and try to put in as many poor six-scenes as possible in every episode. I admit, I have just seen 3 episodes, it may improve, but I doubt it.
Don Cheadle, you are one of my fav actors, but this is disappointing.
At least I hope your char evolve and the series evolve to a more mature state. I don't know if I can take this much longer.

Rant over

I'd like to hear your views on the series or other disappointing tv-shows. Maybe hear about some of your fav shows.

I don't really watch too many TV series, but one in particular was LOST. The first and second season was pretty interesting, but they kept going ON and ON. In the end I lost interest and I never even saw the ending.

My fav show is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shogun_(miniseries).

Generally I'm a fan of mini-series since they have a proper story with an ending instead of something that just goes on and on until the popularity goes down. Unfortunately, there been very few mini-series made lately, and as thus I haven't really followed anything. It's been over a decade I watched a series, well, excluding some random Simpsons episodes now and then. I'm considering buying http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pillars_of_the_Earth_(TV_miniseries) though, heard good things about that one, so maybe it's worth watching.
