They need to revise the idea of who is to be crowned as an e

Reason is plain simple: Currently, the one who is at the top of the scoreboards is to become the emperor. This, simply put means that the one who has played the most will become the emperor. This tells nothing of the players leadership skills, charisma or even personal skills as in the PvP. Its simply about who played the most.

Example, for some I have no idea reason QFT, LoD, Winterblades, Shipwrecked Pirates, The Mercs, Sotd, Nightstalkers and other clans who fare in PvP scenes of MMORPGs form an alliance, they manage their way to the point that someone is to be crowned an emperor. Suddenly, fat nerd from his mothers basemant emerges. He has played 18 hours a day solo, contributed absolutely nothing, but has been grinding rats way too much so he's on top of the scoreboard. He is crowned the emperor.

Justified, I say.

Well, I suspect that group and guild leaders will get a percentage of the credit that their followers earn. Thus it will be important to organize large guilds and raid groups if you want to be emperor.

I'd myself hope that only guild leaders can become emperors. But even then, the largest guild will have a emperor crowned, all because they can gather more "scores."

Perhaps after the Imperial City is taken, we'll have an civil war, and the guild who wins that has the emperor. Or something, just not a [censored] scoreboard. I hate scoreboards in MMORPG's. Fame shouldn't be about statistics, it only gets dumped down to the level of people bragging "I am the #1 Paladin on our server" Based on what, statistics that have zero reflection on the players skills.

Maybe its based on finesse? Who help other and play it smart, that kind of player deserves the Crown. Sadly if some grind zerg dude gets it.

Im on the fence I hope this works out, if theres Emperor, why not to add more ranks as well ala Aion. This is one kind of carrot a on stick I think its nice.

I agree, ranks that would be based on real finesse would be real reward of playing PvP, not to mention if they'd come up with a system that allows higher rank members (such as officers) to assign "quests" or "tasks". People would become more co-ordinated, that'd be awesome.
