Hey guys, I just got back from not playing Skyrim for several months and installed my missing patches and whatnot. The first thing I did was go to Proudspire Manor (my house) in order to just refresh my memory on what I had.

I've been trying for about 3 hours now and whenever I try to enter the house from the street (any entrance), it plays the music and black loading screen, then freezes my system. Is this a known issue? Anyone have advice on how to fix? My guess is that it had to do with the patching, but anyone know for sure?

You went from patch 1.05 to patch 1.07?

Patch 1.07 is broken on the PS3.


Go back to patch 1.05...but I do not think you can?

As Gstaff and others at BGS would say...start a new character.

Yup that is correct. svcks that I can't finish this character at almost 300 hours, but these things happen. Will starting a new character on patch 1.07 work right? I'm assuming the files just got corrupt on patch and will be fine on a new character. Is that accurate?

There are way more qualified people to answer than I, and I'm sure they will. I will say that according to BGS and Gstaff, starting over is their de facto standard. (which is BS)
